WHY THE LAUNDRESS:
We believe all clothing should be handled with the best of care, which is why we created our laundry collection. However, when you are unable to do it yourself, we now offer our hand washing service for the most premium, white glove approach to cleaning your items - no dry cleaning necessary. Each piece is reviewed and cleaned by the experts - us! and returned to you in perfect shape. No other service will treat stains, hand wash, de-pill, steam or hand press in such a way.
WHAT WE DO BEST: • Items you don’t want to dry clean or are afraid to wash
• Removing difficult stains and odors (one of our specialties)
• Wools, silks, cotton, linen, most synthetics and blends
• Items with embroidery, embellishment or specialty trim
• Vintage clothing and heirloom pieces whether it's from the runway or Grandma's attic
• If you have no time, room, or the resources to do it yourself
PLEASE NOTE:
*Please include a note about any issues which can be found on the item you are sending i.e. stains, odor, if it has been dry-cleaned, etc. The more information we have, the better we can work. For items with tough stains and odors, we will use our cleaning methods which have been proven to be effective at removing odor and most stains, while still maintaining the integrity of the item.
*If your item has already been dry cleaned, it becomes harder for us to remove the set-in stains, but it's not necessarily impossible.
*We use hand pressing techniques for ironing, not a machine that makes stiff crisp finishes. Ours is a more natural finish.

*Any items that are viscose, rayon, or blends with these fibers, please be sure to ask us ahead of time before sending.
*In addition to Uggs (found on our dropdown menu), we wash other shearling items & accessories - contact us for rates.
*We DO NOT handle items with bed bugs - we recommend Slate NYC for all bed bug-related items.
HOW IT WORKS:
Simply send in your items to The Laundress’ “laundry room” via UPS, DHL, FedEx or drop off between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. We will then go to work on getting your pieces looking and feeling just like the day you bought them, using our skills and products to clean and preserve the natural fibers of even the most delicate items. We will then ship your items back to you, free of charge.

WHAT IT COSTS:

I accept the terms and conditions associated with The Laundress Hand Washing Service, in that, The Laundress will always use its best judgment and treatment possible when washing my item and while we will pay extreme attention to stains, we cannot guarantee the removal of all. All prices quoted are for regular soiled items; heavily soiled items will require extra attention/time and will result in a surcharge being made at the company’s discretion. We cannot assume any responsibility for inherent weaknesses of or defects in materials that are not apparent prior to washing. This includes, but is not exclusive to, color loss or bleeding and shrinkage or against damage to weak and tender fabrics. Please note that items washed with our Sweater Service will be returned to a natural, soft and fluffier state versus chemically stiff & flattened when dry-cleaned. The Laundress, Inc. reserves the right to decline service for any item. You will be refunded for any item not cleaned excluding your inbound shipping cost. If we determine that The Laundress, Inc. is responsible for the loss of or damage to an item, we will refund you the replacement value up to $250 (Two Hundred And Fifty Dollars) but only with substantial supportive documentation such as an original store receipt. The Laundress, Inc. only accepts packages sent through traceable mailing services (i.e. FedEx, UPS). All customers will be sent their tracking number for the return packages.
